Weather Update! Volunteers in the Meadow may be postponed

If it storms tonight (Friday) as expected, the Meadow will be too wet to plant Saturday and will need to be postponed.  Please check back at the blog for a reschedule date.

Thank you to everyone that volunteered in the Meadow a couple weeks ago!  We have a special request for another Volunteer Day on Saturday, April 25, from 10am – Noon.

Recent donations have allowed for the purchase 600 plugs of Little Bluestem and Wild Blue Indigo.  It is very important to get these plants in the ground and watered as soon as possible after they arrive.

What: Volunteer Meadow Work Day

When: Note:  Will be postponed if it rains Friday! Saturday, April 25 (10-Noon)

Where: The Meadow, north of the Beach Museum of Art

What to Bring: Gloves, hat, water bottle, and small hand shovels

We’re about to enter the 3rd year that the Meadow has existed on K-state’s campus. We’ve seen this special landscape develop from initial seeding in June 2013 to the flourishing growth this past summer, and it will be even more beautiful this year.
