Summer has arrived!

Summer has arrived and that means all kinds of leisure time and travel. I hope when planning your trips you keep the Beach Museum of Art in mind. The museum will remain open all summer, and maintain regular hours T, W, F & Sa 10-5; Th 10-8 and Su 12-5. Take advantage of our late night hours on Thursday and get out on the town, dinner in Aggieville is just a short walk away. Make it a day in Manhattan and visit other campus and local attractions after your visit to the Beach.

The Beach Museum of Art offers free parking for museum visitors in the lot south of the building, we just ask that you register once inside. The museum does not charge admission, but does accept donations.

The Beach Museum of Art has some exciting exhibitions over the summer. Stan Herd has installed an exhibition titled “Cairns on the Beach.” This exhibitions features cairns created by Herd and a green roof that brings the entire installation to life. Also on display you can find “Hero’s Journey,” opening June 2, an exhibition presented in collaboration with the Kansas Library Association and the Manhattan Public Library summer reading program theme of Heroes.
