Creating a labeling activity in SoftChalk LessonBuilder 3

SoftChalk LessonBuilder is an authoring tool that helps create web-based digital learning objects for e-learning. This will provide an overview of how to create a labeling activity.

A labeling activity allows learners to drag and drop labels onto an image to label the various parts.

Open this software program. Click Insert, then select Activity and then Labeling.

The Labeling Activity window will open. Here you may upload an image (in .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, or .png formats). Then you are asked to enter a maximum of 10 terms below.

Once you have input the image and the terms, you’ll be able to place the terms in the correct locations on the image.

Click the Place Labels button. You will be given an interface that allows you to drag and drop the labels and place them in the proper locations.

Once the labeling has been completed, click Save and Close at the bottom right.

Then click Finish at the bottom. Save your file using alphanumeric characters and no spaces.

Package the lesson by going to the menu bar and clicking File, then selecting Package Lesson and then Zip Format. (If you will be using this in a learning/course management system that has a SCORM player, you may want to output this in a SCORM format.)
