K-State Online pre-release training June 15-18

K-State faculty and staff are invited to attend the June 15-18 pre-release training sessions for the K-State Online features coming in mid-July. This is an opportunity to get hands-on time with the new features in a lab setting, gain insight into the coming changes, and give feedback on new features.

All sessions will be in the Hemisphere Room (501) in Hale Library, and pre-registration is required.

  • Mon, June 15, 2-3:30 p.m.
  • Tue, June 16, 10-11:30 a.m.
  • Wed, June 17, 1:30-3 p.m.
  • Thu, June 18, 9-10:30 a.m.

All training sessions include:

  • New Manage Files tool, now called Course Content. This tool has been completely overhauled and is now more streamlined, easier to use, and no longer opens in a separate window.
  • Assignment exceptions. Instead of going to as many as three different pages to grant an exception or an extension for an assignment, instructors will now be able to go to one location, making it easier for them to perform these tasks.

Pre-registration is required, and be sure to select the date and time desired. Once a class is full, others can still attend and watch but will not have a laptop available to use. Those attending should have prior experience as a primary instructor in K-State Online. Training sessions will be repeated after the release of the new K-State Online version. More details will be announced near the end of June regarding future training sessions. You can read about all the updates in the What’s New in K-State Online 9.0.
