IT Update

July means turn up the heat! This month we continue with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Migration Readiness Project (MRP), the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) Town Hall meeting and so much more.Updates

Staff

Jan Elsasser was named Deputy CIO for Business Intelligence and Analytics. The Deputy CIO for Emerging Technology and Innovation will remain unfilled. 

 

Service Operations

IT continues with Duo, two-factor authentication, deployment. About 4985/5000 licenses have been used.

The data center relocation project is in its seventh week, partnering with Amazon Web Services for migration planning via eight work streams about 40 employees are actively engaged in the project.

Networking and Telecommunications Services (NTS) continue with the wireless infrastructure upgrade throughout campus and work in many campus buildings including Hale, Leasure, Trockmorton, Vet Med Complex, the Soccer field and more.

Updates to the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) project can be found on the the website.

We continue to inform K-Staters about changes to antivirus and encourage individuals to uninstall Trend Micro  www.ksu.edu/its/antivirus. The Trend Micro servers were retired on June 14.
