Printing in labs, InfoCommons offline Wednesday morning, May 19

The university printing system that supports the K-State InfoCommons (in Hale Library), the university computing labs, College of Business Administration, Journalism and Mass Communications, and English computing labs will be upgraded on Wednesday, May 19,  starting at 8 a.m. Printing in these locations will be unavailable for up to four hours, with resources returning online as soon as they are upgraded.

During this outage, the IT Help Desk will provide printing; contact them (214 Hale Library, 785-532-7722, helpdesk@k-state.edu) if you need assistance. The Hale Library second-floor printing outage is expected to last 30 minutes or less.

High Performance Computing/Cloud Briefing Thursday, May 20

Several IBM representatives from Atlanta will be on campus to present their latest technology solutions in a High Performance Computing/Cloud Briefing 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 20, in Room 209 of the K-State Student Union. They will also discuss IBM’s grants, faculty awards, and research partnership programs available to universities. This presentation is open to everyone.

Representatives from IBM were invited to K-State by a campus unit. IBM would like to extend the offer to share information with interested individuals across campus.
