Last chance for Fall 2017 for Master Extract Reporting in KSIS

Only one more session is available in the Fall 2017 semester for Master Extract Reporting in KSIS.  You must have permissions set up for Master Extract Reporting before you can take this class.

The remaining session is scheduled to take place 3-4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in 306 Calvin Hall.

To register for the session:

1. Go to hris.ksu.edu and sign in with your eID and password.
2. In the left-side menu, click Employee Self Service.
3. Click Learning and Development.
4. Click KSU Training Enrollment.
5. Scroll down the listed courses until you find KSIS: Master Extract Reporting.
6. Next to the desired class, click View Available Sessions.
7. Click the desired session number and then on the next screen, click Continue.
8. Confirm the date and time of the training session and then click Continue.
9. Type any comments desired and then click Submit.
10. Click OK to close the confirmation screen.
11. Sign out from HRIS.

If the session does not fit your schedule, please contact the training coordinator, Fred Darkow, at fdarkow@k-state.edu to request additional classes. Attendees will be notified if a session is canceled and will be asked to register for an alternative training session.

New KSIS navigation for students

KSIS 9.2 upgrade completed

Information Technology Services, or ITS, has successfully completed the KSIS upgrade to version 9.2. The upgrade represents K-State’s ongoing investment to provide the K-State community with the most complete, flexible and innovative student information system available.

Reminder: Sign out of KSIS by 5 p.m. today

K-State’s Student Information System (KSIS) will be unavailable 5 p.m. Friday, July 21, through Sunday, July 23,  while Information Technology Services upgrades the system to a new release. KSIS will resume full operations on Monday, July 24.

Users should complete transactions and sign out of KSIS by 5 p.m. Friday, July 21. If you do not sign out by 5 p.m., you will be automatically signed out and any unsaved data will be lost.

After the upgrade, KSIS will have new navigation and mobile-friendly features for iOS and Android devices. Users are encouraged to visit the new KSIS 9.2 Resources web page for an overview of new features, FAQs, and trouble-shooting tips.

KSIS-upgrade migration downtime July 21-23

The KSIS upgrade project began last fall, and the target date to complete the KSIS upgrade is Monday, July 24. KSIS will be unavailable during the upgrade window from 5 p.m. Friday, July 21, through Sunday, July 23.

To prepare for the upgrade, KSIS users can do the following:

After the upgrade, KSIS will have a new graphical, responsive web design and mobile-friendly features for iOS and Android devices. The upgrade represents K-State’s ongoing investment to provide the K-State community with the most complete, flexible, and innovative student information system available.

KSIS upgrade progress report

The KSIS upgrade project team is currently working with various focus groups to conduct pre-release testing and prepare for the go-live date Monday, July 24.

KSIS will be unavailable during the upgrade window from Friday evening, July 21, through Sunday, July 23.

Once the upgrade is complete, KSIS will have a new mobile-friendly navigation. The new NavBar navigation will allow you to access: Recent Places, My Favorites, Navigator (all your folders), and Classic Home. Users will be able to add both Fluid (new) and Classic (old) pages to My Favorites in the NavBar.

Customizable KSIS homepage coming this fall

As previously announced, K-State’s Student Information System (KSIS) is being upgraded to a new version. Starting fall 2017, KSIS will have a new, unified user interface where mobile-friendly pages dynamically change based on the screen size of the device being used: smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop.
