Technology classroom training for Spring 2011

Faculty/staff who will be using the university technology classrooms for the first time must attend a short training session before they can request keys  for those classrooms. Once training is completed, instructors can request keys through Facilities Key Control in Dykstra.

These one-time training sessions include:

  • An overview of the different kinds of equipment and software available
  • How to turn on and shut off the systems
  • How to properly lock/unlock the podium and classroom
  • Policies and procedures

IT Orientation session March 10: Emerging Technologies

Emerging Technologies, the last IT Orientation session for the Spring 2010 semester, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, in 401B Hale Library. Learn more about a variety of emerging technologies that can help in the classroom, office, and at home. The session is open to all K-State faculty, staff, and students but requires pre-registration.

IT Orientation session Feb. 17: IT Training

Everybody needs a little help every now and then! Join us at the next IT Orientation session and learn about the training opportunities currently being offered at K-State. The session will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, in 401B Hale Library and is open to all K-State faculty, staff, and students but requires pre-registration.

IT Orientation session Jan. 28: IT Security

On Jan. 28, join the IT Security team as they discuss what you can do to increase your computer security on campus. The session will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, in 401B Hale Library and is open to all K-State faculty, staff, and students but requires pre-registration. Join us at one or all of the sessions this spring.

IT Orientation session Sept. 22: K-State Information Systems

At the next one-hour IT Orientation session, learn more about two important K-State Information Systems: iSIS, the K-State Student Information System, and HRIS, the Human Resource Information System. The session will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, in 401B Hale Library and is open to all K-State faculty/staff and students but requires pre-registration.
