I graduated from Dodge City Community College with an Associates degree in Applied Science in building construction technology.
What are your hobbies?
I like to spend time with my family, friend, and boyfriend. I like to fish and have cookouts in the summer.
Are there any other fun facts you would like to share?
I was the first female in my Building Construction Technology major.
I have a twin sister.
How did you get interested in STEM?
One of my advisors from Dodge City encouraged me to get involved and I thought it would be a great experience.
Why did you want to do research?
I wanted to see what programs K-State had to offer in construction.
Tell us about your research project.
I meet with McCrown Gordon Construction’s Project Manager & Engineer. We work[ed] through the job site and [went] over work for the week, RFI’s, and safety.
What advice would you give your past self regarding school? How about for other students interested in STEM?
I would have encouraged my self to look at K-State before I started my program at Dodge City.
