KS-LSAMP Welcome Event

Want to learn more about KS-LSAMP and meet other K-State students? If the answer is yes, then you should attend the KS-LSAMP welcome event. During this event, we will share information about the program, such as research and volunteer opportunities. We will also have a guest speaker from the K-State Career Center to talk about available resources through their office and the upcoming All-University Career Fair. Lunch will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Interested in sharing your STEM/K-State experience with others? KS-LSAMP is hosting an event for potential transfer students, and we need your help! Opportunities to guide a campus tour, attend dinner or social event, and interact with community college students are available. This is a chance to share your experiences with other students.

Leveraging Your Strengths to Fulfill Your Purpose and Career

This workshop will explore the CliftonStrengths for Students signature themes and how you can leverage them in your professional life. Whether applying for scholarships, graduate school, or other opportunities, your Strengths can help you share your story. Bring your top five CliftonStrengths to the workshop if you have taken the assessment, if possible. If you haven’t taken the assessment yet, you can still attend and learn more about CliftonStrengths and how to leverage them for success.

Veterinary School 101

Are you planning to apply to veterinary school in the near future? Do you know what documents you will need? Do you have an idea of how long it will take to complete the application? If not, that’s okay. Attend this event to hear from David Hoffman, Recruitment Coordinator in the College of Veterinary Medicine. He will provide insights into the application process and beyond. You will also have a chance to hear from current veterinary school students regarding their experiences.
