Do you ever do the thing where you check your bank account balance before you go out just to do that rough mental math where you decide how much bank can you really break? You ever do that math and realize you can maybe, just maybe, afford to break like $5 worth of bank? Well put your sad little $5 bill back in its safe place (the rent money pile, duh!) and read this list of hangout spots in Manhattan where you won’t need a lot o’ dollars to have a lot o’ fun. Pi. Pie. Yin and Yang. Donuts. Smiley Faces. All of these things are circular, and all of them are very useful in our lives. Read on to learn about my favorite circular source of strength at K-State!
The semester is over, I walked out of my last class this Friday and it felt so surreal that I am now five semesters down and only three to go. Time flies when you are having fun, time truly flies when you are at Kansas State. Here’s a recap of my Fall semester in photos. Continue reading “Fall Semester Photo Recap”

If you’ve watched K-State football in recent years, you’ll recognize this name. Travis Britz, one of the top defensive tackles in the Big 12 during his time on the K-State football team (2012-2015) and voted a team captain during his senior year, is undoubtedly a great player; but what’s more, he’s a great person as well. Read on to learn about this awesome guy!
After spending 3.5 years in the best college town in the country (Read about it, it’s true), here are my favorite places in Manhattan, Kansas!
Growing up I LOVED Wizard of Oz. Like I mean wore-the-blue-checkered-dress-all-day-every-day, watched-the-movie-on-repeat and had-a-wizard-of-oz-themed-birthday-party kind of love.
It was almost three years ago when I first set foot on campus here. It was winter break time so Manhattan was not very crowded. Ironically, at the time I had no idea where I was. I mean, I knew I was at the home of Kansas State University, but it was not until I started school here the following Fall did I really know where I was and what this place really is and what it stands for.
So last month I started getting into this cool hobby. Now I have a baby rosebush and a mint plant that I named Ronda Rose and Maggie Mint. Also I might not know anything about gardening, but so far it is really fun. Now I think it is safe to say that sophomore year has really brought out my inner grandma.
We are lucky to live within a few hours of Kansas City. Some of the best bbq and events occur in the City of Fountains. There are several show that are brought to the area every month and you should take a drive and see one soon. Continue reading “Go See a Show!”
There are two reasons why March is a really exciting time for me -I do not know about what everyone’s plans for this year are, but for me usually spring break is for road trips and summer vacation is for travelling. So March means I am only two weeks away from my spring break road trips and only 10 weeks away from my summer travels.
