Today is the start to a new semester, and we know it’s going to be a great one!
Here at the museum we wanted to take the time to inform you about a few things.
The Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art offers an in-depth look at Kansas art and brings art and artists from around the world to the heart of Kansas. The museum’s collection continues to focus on the art of Kansas and the region.
The regional art in our collections — as well as art generally — provides a rich terrain for discussion across disciplines. We present encounters with art as opportunities for exploring human experience.
October 2016 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Beach Museum of Art and we have some big changes in store! Please excuse us as rotating galleries will be closed this summer as we reinstall the permanent collection. Make plans to attend the special student only anniversary event, with giveaways and live music on October 27.
The museum offers a quiet and unique space that students can enjoy during open hours, free of charge. Browse the galleries or knock out some of that studying in our commons areas.
Mark your calendar September 1, as we kick off the semester’s programming with live music and papermaking at the museum.
