Network security analyst hired

Starting Nov. 10, K-State’s central IT security team will double in size when Josh McCune joins Harvard Townsend, chief information security officer, as a network security analyst to assist with all aspects of K-State’s information and technology security program.

McCune will have specific responsibility for managing network security technologies and performing system and network forensics while assisting with handling security incidents. He also will develop procedures for vulnerability assessment; help with security training and awareness; and participate in K-State’s Security Incident Management Team (SIRT).

This hire reflects the importance of protecting K-State’s information and technology resources in light of increasingly sophisticated and frequent threats. We welcome Josh to the security team.
