K-State technology seminars cover tools, tips, and resources

“Free Tools That Rule” is a joint session that kicks off K-State’s IDT Roundtable and TechBytes series this semester. Join us 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, in Union 212 to learn about many of the free tools available on the Web. The session will feature tools that can be used for:

  • Collaboration
  • Research
  • Screen recording (video) and screen capturing (screenshots)
  • and more

Bring your favorite tools to share during the session.

IDT Roundtable presentations are for faculty to learn about instructional design, best practices in teaching and learning, and new technologies. Roundtables provide a forum for faculty to interact with other peers, share their experiences, and ask questions. The roundtables are sponsored by the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, the Office of Mediated Education, and the Information Technology Assistance Center. The presentations are free, archived, and available on the IDTR website.

TechBytes seminars provide K-Staters with up-to-date information about new technology tools and services. Presentations are video-streamed live and recorded on the TechBytes website for “anytime viewing” soon after the program. The series is sponsored by the Catalyst (College of Education), the Information Technology Assistance Center, the Office of Mediated Education, and Information and Educational Technology in the Department of Communications.
