K-State Online: Reuse your course for spring semester

If you’re teaching the same course that you previously taught (even if it was two years ago), you can reuse your assignments, files, message boards, and other course work such as announcements instead of deleting or starting a brand new course.

When you do this, you will want to clean up or update areas of your K-State Online course. Many of the items you’ve put online are not automatically updated with each new version of your course. You will have to go into the K-State Online tools you use and decide what you want to update, what to delete, and what to archive.

For reference, use the Reusing Your Course Checklist (PDF) created by the iTAC trainers. You can also review the online help — after signing in to K-State Online, click the Help link in the upper-right corner and search for the Reuse Your Course topics. The online help provides step-by-step instructions with photos as well as a video tutorial.
