Umberger 105 tech classroom renovation this summer

Umberger 105 will be undergoing renovations over the summer. With faculty input, Facilities, iTAC and others have planned an updated space for teaching and learning. See a drawing of the new layout (PDF) as well as a picture (below) of the new seating.

New seating to be installed in Umberger 105 classroom this summer

In the drawing of the room, notice the room orientation will be shifted 90 degrees, so students will now face the east side of the room where the screens, podium, and instructor will stand. The room capacity will be reduced from 483 to 450 seats to include ADA accessible seating.

We are currently working on the technology for the room. There will be two projection screens above the instructor and two flat screens behind the instructor for those students in the first few rows.
