Benefits of cellular-enabled iPads while traveling

While at work and home, many people only need the WiFi capabilities of their iPad.  However, if you are traveling abroad or simply traveling cross-country, a cellular-enabled iPad can come in handy.

There are a variety of GPS navigation applications available to help you find your way if you are lost, or help you locate a great place for dinner or entertainment. Another advantage is the ability to access any applications that require a connection to the Internet to use, as well as access to your files without the need to download them ahead of time.

As long as you have a signal on your cellphone, you should have a signal on your cellular-enabled iPad. There is an extra monthly data service fee billed through your cellular provider. Before purchasing, check with your provider on the details of the plan, including any restrictions on international service.
