May 1: iClicker Information Day

iClicker logoiClicker has been partnering with K-State to provide classroom response solutions for more than a decade. Developed by educators at the University of Illinois, iClicker is known for its white remotes with buttons for voting; its mobile solution, Reef, is the highest-rated paid student engagement app. iClicker is the only Canvas-integrated solution offering both mobile and dedicated hardware (does not require Wi-Fi) solutions to K-State.

Information Technology Services is working with the Macmillan iClicker team to offer an iClicker Information Day, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, Big 12 room, in the K-State Student Union. Formal workshops and individual sessions will introduce new users to iClicker technologies and will ensure that all are getting the most out of student engagement options.

Two workshops and one presentation will be offered to accommodate different teaching schedules. Each will include what Learning Science studies tell us about student engagement, performance, and retention; how iClicker implementation can improve student focus, provide instant feedback, promote peer-to-peer instruction, identify misconceptions, increase attendance, give every student a voice—in general, get more out of the classroom–in classes both big and small; and how iClicker is the most affordable supported option available to your students.

iClicker Information Day Offering:

  • 8:30-10:00—Individual Sessions
  • 10:00-11:30—Workshop: Getting The Most From iClicker
  • Noon-1:30—Lunch & Learn Presentation: iClicker Cloud and Reef—The Latest in Classroom Engagement (Cottonwood Room)
