Crestron rep to share A+ Partner Programs info Dec. 11

Alan Hanssen from Crestron will be on the K-State Manhattan campus 3 p.m. Dec. 11 in Hale 401 to share updated information on the A+ Partner Program. This is open to K-State IT staff who support the Crestron products.

Crestron classroom control systems are used in K-State university technology classrooms, departmental classrooms, and conference rooms. The A+ Partner Program was established to provide support for the academic community.

Dec. 11 demo: Panasonic projector with new Digital Link technology

Senna Technology Systems, a Panasonic and local technology dealer, and a representative from Panasonic will be showing IT and system administrators a new Panasonic projector featuring the new Digital Link technology. The presentation is scheduled 1:30 – 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11,  in Hale 401. All system admins and IT staff are invited to attend, but all faculty/staff are welcome.

Panasonic will also have a 65-inch interactive display with them as well that can be used for digital signage or as an interactive classroom display.

Four Winds Interactive will show their interactive kiosks and digital signage solutions at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m. demos on Wednesday, Nov. 17, in Room 209 of the K-State Student Union. Solutions will cover these and more:

New Epson PowerLite projector demo Nov. 9

Epson will demonstrate their new PowerLite G5650W model projector at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, in Room 401 of Hale Library. The specifications of this projector include:

  • 3LCD display technology
  • 4500 ANSI lumens
  • 1280 x 800 native resolution
  • 16:10 native aspect ratio
  • 2000:1 contrast ratio
  • HDMI ready

Epson will provide additional details on the expansion of their high-end products. This presentation is open to all faculty/staff.

Digital signage and interactive-kiosk demos Nov. 17

Four Winds Interactive will demonstrate their interactive kiosks and digital signage solutions at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, in Room 209 of the K-State Student Union.

All three sessions are free, and bagels, coffee, and juice will be provided.

Four Winds will share how their solutions can be used to:

  • Increase campus safety using emergency messaging
  • Display campus maps
  • List building directories
  • Post up-to-date news and information

Epson projectors: New price sheet, installations planned

Epson recently released a new price sheet for Epson multimedia projectors and accessories available through state contract vendor Cytek Media Systems. Epson provides cost-savings to schools and universities through the Brighter Futures Program, and departments can place orders with Cytek Media Systems using state contract number 09175 (via the list of contract items from the Controller’s Office).

Wolfvision visual presenter demo

Representatives from Wolfvision and Cytek Media Systems will showcase the latest in visual presenter technology at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, in Hale 301. The presentation will include an overview of current visual presenter models and a discussion of Wolfvision’s future plans. There also will be demonstrations of the recently released VZ-8plus3 Visualizer and the latest connectivity software. K-Staters are welcome to come check out this technology.
