GoPro “world’s most versatile” camera available for checkout

The durable GoPro HD HERO2 Outdoor Edition camera is designed for activities like skiing, bking, and swimming.

The GoPro HD HERO2 Outdoor Edition camera is now available for checkout to all K-State students and faculty/staff from iTAC’s Equipment Checkout in 214 Hale Library. The camera has a waterproof casing, various mounting options, upgraded sound, and video/picture quality.

The GoPro HD HERO2 is specifically designed for shooting HD (high definition) video while you’re outdoors riding, playing, skiing, boarding, etc.  It comes with a head strap, helmet strap, curved adhesive mounts, and flat adhesive mounts (a small fee will be charged for the adhesive mounts). Equipment checkout: Tripods available in four types

Whether you’re an aspiring photographer, budding cinematographer, or just wanting to capture some memories, you’ll most likely want not only a camera but a tripod as well. Well, look no further, because the Equipment Checkout service has options for you.

We carry four basic types of tripods that range from small to quite large.

Ask a Librarian: IT and library equipment Q/As

The Equipment category of the “Ask a Librarian” pages has common questions (and answers) about IT equipment available in the K-State Libraries.  The Q/As often include  pointers to IT resources outside of Hale Library, including branch libraries and the Salina campus.

Current questions/answers about available technology:

  • Cameras: Can I check out cameras here?

  • Wireless access: How can I connect my laptop to the wireless (wifi) network?
