Employees: Get paycheck details via Employee Self Service starting Feb. 5

(Editor’s note: The Division of Human Resources provided information for this article.)

Beginning with the pay period ending Jan. 23 that will be paid Feb. 5, Employee Self Service will be the only way to view paycheck (aka “pay advice”) details. Employees will no longer receive a paper pay advice via U.S. Postal Service. Pay advice/paycheck details are normally available via K-State’s Employee Self Service a week prior to payday.

For the few employees who receive a paper paycheck, those will continue to be mailed as usual. For more information, contact your department’s personnel specialist or call Human Resources at 785-532-6277.

K-State employees can access, change personal data in Employee Self Service

All K-State employees have access to Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Employee Self Service using their K-State eID (electronic ID) and password. Employees have the ability to:

  • Update W-4 tax and/or K-4 tax information, direct deposit data, home address, phone numbers, emergency contacts, marital status, and ethnic group.
  • View paycheck information, leave-accrual balances, benefit summaries, personal data, work information, total compensation, and training summaries.
  • Enroll in training sessions offered by the Division of Human Resources, Employee Relations and Training, and other departments.

The new pay plans will be linked to work performance beginning June 2010 (FY 2011).

With the new Performance Management Process, a new form has been developed; mid-year discussions and annual evaluations are conducted on a set range of dates. For most employees, the first mid-year discussions will occur between April 1 and June 30, and annual evaluations will be due between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 every year.
