National online education expert to present at K-State Sept. 18

“Sometimes Good is Good Enough – Sometimes It’s Not” will be presented 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, Flint Hills Room, K-State Student Union, by Darcy Walsh Hardy, assistant vice chancellor for academic affairs and executive director of UT TeleCampus.  It addresses the need for colleges and universities to ensure that faculty/staff have appropriate training and support to develop and deliver the highest quality online courses possible.  This event is open and free to the public.

Hardy recently received the Mildred and Charles Wedemeyer outstanding Distance Learning practitioner award and was inducted into the Texas Distance Learning Association Hall of Fame. Under Hardy’s direction, the UT TeleCampus has been honored with more than two dozen regional and national awards and has been recognized nationally as a model and benchmark for multi-campus, collaborative online programming. Hardy serves on several editorial and advisory boards and has delivered hundreds of presentations, keynotes, and workshops on distance education.  To view the complete presentation abstract and Hardy’s biography, visit axioconference.org/schedule
