KSIS Training dates and times are now available for fall 2016. Instructor-led training is available for faculty, academic advisors, and staff at no charge. However, registration is required.
Training sessions for Master Extract Reporting in KSIS for Fall 2016 are now available. The monthly sessions are for staff who have been granted the Master Extract Reporting permission. Previous sessions were limited to one month of a term. To make the training more available for staff members, the schedule is now set for one session each month. Information Security and Compliance has released an online security awareness training module. The training introduces basic computer security concepts and good security practices. It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. All K-State faculty, staff, and employed students are required to complete security awareness training.
To access the training:
- Go to www.ksu.edu/its/security.
- On the menu, click Security Training.
- Sign in with your eID and eID password.
Once you complete the training, your personnel record in HRIS will be updated within 24 hours. It will be listed under the Training Summary as IT Security Awareness (2016), with the course code WIT017.

KSIS Class Scheduler training is now available. Sessions are designed for employees new to the Class Scheduler process as well as refreshers for employees who have previously updated class schedules.

- Other course related details
All sessions are held in Fairchild 9. The dates and times for the Class Scheduler sessions are:

- Monday, March 7, 1-2:30 p.m.

Students and faculty/staff are invited to participate in hands-on multimedia workshops on Tuesday evenings from Feb. 9 to March 29. These are offered each semester by the Media Development Center. Grading in KSIS training is now available for faculty and staff who are involved in submitting grades at the end of the fall 2015 term.
All sessions take place in 9 Fairchild Hall. Sessions are:
- Tue, Dec. 1, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
- Wed, Dec. 2, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Training sessions are now available for the fall for Master Extract Reporting in KSIS. You must have permissions set up for Master Extract Reporting in KSIS before you can take this class.
All sessions are scheduled in 9 Fairchild Hall:
- 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18
- 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6
- 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3
- 1:30-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24

Summer is a great time to learn how to use Canvas, K-State’s new learning management system. Training sessions are available throughout the summer to prepare instructors who need to upgrade their courses to K-State Online powered by Canvas. Due to popular demand, additional Grading in KSIS sessions have been added for faculty and staff wanting to transfer grades from both Canvas and K-State Online Classic to KSIS. The training is intended for faculty and staff members who are involved in submitting grades at the end of the Spring 2015 term.
