Need to learn about Master Extract Reporting in KSIS?

Training sessions are now available for the fall for Master Extract Reporting in KSIS. You must have permissions set up for Master Extract Reporting in KSIS before you can take this class.

All sessions are scheduled in 9 Fairchild Hall:

  • 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18
  • 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6
  • 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3
  • 1:30-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24

Registration through HRIS is required. See Using HRIS to register for classes.

If the offered sessions do not fit your schedule, please contact the KSIS training coordinator, Fred Darkow, at fdarkow@k-state.edu to request additional classes. Attendees will be notified if a session is canceled and will be asked to register for an alternative training session.

KSIS training for fall 2015 now available

KSIS Training dates and times are now available for fall 2015.  Instructor-led training is available for faculty, academic advisors, and staff at no charge. However registration is required.

Additional Grading in KSIS sessions added for Spring 2015

Due to popular demand, additional Grading in KSIS sessions have been added for faculty and staff wanting to transfer grades from both Canvas and K-State Online Classic to KSIS. The training is intended for faculty and staff members who are involved in submitting grades at the end of the Spring 2015 term.

All sessions take place in Fairchild 9. Dates and times are:

  • Tuesday, May 5, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 6, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Grading in KSIS Training Available April 28-29

Grading in KSIS training is now available to faculty and staff.  This training is intended for faculty and staff members who are involved in submitting grades at the end of the Spring 2015 term.

“Tapping Social Media with NCapture and NVivo 10” scheduled Friday, April 24

“Tapping Social Media Data with NCapture and NVivo” will be offered 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, April 24, in 301 Hale Library. This presentation provides an overview of the NCapture add-in to NVivo 10 as a tool for extracting information from social media platforms and will explore how the extracted data is analyzed using NVivo 10, a qualitative and mixed methods data analysis tool.

KSIS: Processing Minors session offered April 14

A “Processing Minors” training session is now available for K-State employees who approve minors for students who are graduating.  The training session is 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, in 9 Fairchild Hall.

Registration through HRIS is required. For more information, see the article Using HRIS to register for classes.

“NVivo 10 Advanced” training scheduled March 27

“NVivo 10 Advanced” is a follow-up presentation from the “NVivo 10 Basic” offered the prior month.  This training will be offered 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, in 301 Hale Library.

Class Scheduler Refresher training now available

Training classes for administrators with the Class Scheduler permission are now available for the spring 2015 term. These classes are designed for those who have performed the Class Scheduler function previously and is not recommended for those new to the process. Training sessions discuss steps used by class schedulers and also use a discussion format to gain knowledge from the experience of other class schedulers.
