Wimba maintenance and downtime scheduled March 4

Wimba will be undergo maintenance 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 4. During the maintenance period, Wimba (and all archived classrooms) will be unavailable for approximately 2-3 hours. Check your K-State Online Organizer on Friday for the approximate start and end times that Wimba will be unavailable.

eTips Sept. 10: Getting started with Excel

Cathy Rodriguez will present an eTips session on “Getting started with Excel 2007” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, desktop webinar via Wimba. This session will demonstrate the basics in getting started with Excel such as getting familiar with the ribbon, creating a workbook, entering and editing data, adding rows and columns, and entering simple formulas.

eTips registration is required at least 24 hours in advance to allow time to add you to the session and ensure your workstation is configured properly for accessing the session.

How to open Wimba archived sessions to students?

I archived a Wimba session. How can I make this archive available to my students?

  1. On the Course Tools page under the Course Content section, click the Manage Files link.
  2. On the toolbar, click the New Item button, and then from the Select a new Item type to create list, select the Wimba Archive Link.
  3. In the Link Text box, type the name of your archive as it will appear to students.
  4. Choose the archive you want to make available.
  5. Click the Create button, and then publish the archive.
