The KS-LSAMP supported summer research program has begun! The 2014 Research Immersion: Pathways to STEM (RiPS) summer program began on June 1, 2014 and will continue for the next 8-weeks. A total of nine students were chosen to be a part of the first RiPS cohort. Seven students from southwest Kansas community colleges are participating along with two current K-State students. During this 8-week summer program students will be working with K-State faculty to conduct independent research projects. RiPS students will complete their summer experience by presenting their research to their faculty mentors, fellow students and staff members. In addition to their research responsibilities, students will be attending weekly seminars focused on professional development. These weekly seminars are coordinated by the K-State graduate school.
