K-State Athletics recently announced they will host the first Celebrate Agriculture Day with K-State Football this fall. While the plans have been in the works for quite some time, the past couple of months have highlighted what Kansas State University have always known – the importance of the agriculture industry not only for our state and country, but also the world at large. Our history as Kansas State Agriculture College is something we recognize and celebrate.
The designated Celebrate Agriculture game is November 7 against Texas Tech, and K-State is excited to honor one Willie’s Farm Family from each county!
The winner will receive two complimentary tickets to the game with the opportunity to purchase additional discounted tickets and be recognized with all county representatives during the game. Meade County Extension Executive Board is also including one hotel room at the Bluemont Hotel (1212 Bluemont Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502)
Nominations will be accepted till June 20, 2020 at 11:59 P.M. for Meade County. Families may nominate themselves or another deserving farm family. To nominate, fill out the google form by clicking here or call the office at (620) 873-8790.
The winner will be selected by random draw on Friday June 26th. Winner will be notified and posted on the Meade County Extension Facebook page.
