This month we spotlight Kaisha Proschaka and Karen Nofsinger who exemplify the One IT culture and model the Guiding Principles for One IT outlined in the IT Strategic Plan:
- Affirm our focus on K-Staters.
- Grow an evolving IT community.
- Lead with transparency.
- Serve as responsible stewards.
The IT team at the Olathe campus relies on central IT to help provide services that keep the campus running smoothly. Recently, we worked with Kaisha Prochaska to upgrade our CCURE door access server and Event Management Software that supports room scheduling, room rental, and invoicing. In both situations Kaisha provided suggestions that helped us maximize our resources and worked (virtually) side by side with us and our vendors to resolve unexpected issues and followed up to make sure the systems were fully functional. She explained each step she was taking while configuring the servers, enabling us to become more efficient in troubleshooting in the future. Thanks Kash, for growing an evolving IT community.
Karen Nofsinger, assistant director, has held a variety of positions from student programmer to lead database administrator for the mainframe system and then transitioned to Oracle systems. Karen has been ensuring our major ERP systems have been operational her whole career. She is a critical member of the team that transitioned the ERPs to managed services. In her role for oversight for the ERPs, she will grow an evolving IT community by leading with a mindful responsibility of our collective data.
KUDOS for exemplifying One IT.
