“Hear What I’m Seeing?” – First Saturdays video series premiere

“Hear What I’m Seeing?” – First Saturdays video series from the Beach Museum of Art premiered October 2, 2021!
What would be the sound of art if it were music? What would be the pitch of any given color, or the rhythm of a brushstroke? See art through the ears of musicians as they verbally share their reflection of a piece of art then musically express it through live musical performance. This video series, led by Beach Museum’s Teaching Artist and saxophonist Nate McClendon, will feature local and K-State musicians who will ask “Do you Hear What I’m Seeing?
We are excited to share the first video of the series with introduction from Nate McClendon who responds to the painting Sunrise over Kansas by John Steuart Curry in the current exhibition open through Feb. 28, 2022.
