Wildcat Dialogues is an intercultural leadership experience designed for first-year students. Facilitators of the event will introduce tools students can use to engage in meaningful dialogues across difference and create communities of belonging at K-State.
The event will look a little different this year! Wildcat Dialogues will take place virtually via Zoom on Monday, Sept. 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. Students will be placed in small groups of approximately 10 to engage in dialogue, led by a facilitator. We are looking for small group facilitators to guide groups. We need you to help first-year students connect with each other, share their stories, and engage in meaningful dialogue.
How can you join us? As a small group facilitator you will:
- Guide students in a dialogue to help them develop skills in intercultural leadership
- Actively contribute to the university in its mission to create a campus culture of belonging for all students
- Develop your own ability to facilitate meaningful dialogue around difficult topics
All facilitators will receive training on intercultural learning and small group facilitation, as well as detailed information on the program and plan for Wildcat Dialogues at one of the following training sessions.
- 3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9
- 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10
- 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14
- 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15
- 3:30-5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17
All facilitators will receive a Wildcat Dialogues T-shirt and face mask!
Are you ready to serve as a small group facilitator? Sign up by Friday, Sept. 11.
