Spirit of Leadership to take place Sept. 27-Oct. 2

Celebrate with us! 11th annual Spirt of LeadershipThe Staley School of Leadership Studies invites alumni, students and friends to the 2021 Spirit of Leadership. The 2021 event will include virtual sessions on leadership practices, research and innovation, and wellbeing Sept. 27-30, and an in-person program and reception reunions Oct. 1.

Due to positive feedback from the virtual leadership sessions during the 2020 event, the Staley School has decided to host virtual leadership sessions leading up to the main in-person event this year, as well. Virtual sessions provide an opportunity for leadership development at a global level and a chance to reconnect with friends, peers and colleagues.

The traditional Friday evening event will kick off with a program highlighting the new developments at the School and celebrating our Leaders in Residence, David and Ellie Everitt. Soon after, guests will gather and reconnect with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer an in-person Spirit of Leadership this year,” said Mary Tolar, Ed. D., director of the Staley School. “And, we practice leadership as an activity based on relationships. What better way to reinforce that message than by making sure every relationship has an opportunity to reconnect and learn together through virtual leadership development?”

“Getting back together in-person will be wonderful, and we will do so safely and following the university guidelines,” said Trisha Gott, Ed.D., associate director for the Staley School. “We are really looking forward to being together, updating our alumni and friends on what we’ve been doing this past year, and enjoying an opportunity to converse and reenergize ourselves.”

Guests who would like to join the Staley School team at the K-State vs. Oklahoma University football game Saturday, Oct. 2, can purchase tickets at a discounted rate and sit together in section 17. Prior to kickoff, the 2021 and 2022 Snyder Leadership Legacy Fellows will be recognized on the field.

Details and registration for all Spirit of Leadership events are available online.
