Apply to be a Staley School Ambassador

Students table an eventThe Staley School of Leadership Studies at Kansas State University is seeking students for the Staley School Ambassadors.

Eligible students must be enrolled in the leadership studies minor, the nonprofit leadership certificate or the global food systems leadership secondary major. Ambassadors promote the school to current and prospective students at K-State campus visits, Powercat Preview Days, K-State Open House and more. They also help faculty and staff share the benefits of leadership studies with the community.

In addition to discussing how the leadership studies minor can benefit students, the Ambassadors publicize upcoming programs and special events, provide continual feedback to faculty and staff, and represent student interests and concerns.

“One of my favorite parts of my job is working with these bright, motivated and passionate students who all believe in what the Staley School mission stands for,” said Kim Ralston, advisor to the Staley School Ambassadors. “The work we do is serious and a an opportunity for developing leadership skills and much more, but we have a lot of fun. It adds value to our communities, our students and beyond.”

Ambassadors will serve a one year term, attend regular weekly meetings and participate in a variety of recruitment events throughout the year. Applications are open until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24.

For questions, contact Nate Williams, chair of the education committee, at n8w21@ksu.edu, or Kim Ralston at kamullen@ksu.edu.
