The Staley School of Leadership at Kansas State University is seeking students for the Staley School Ambassadors.
Eligible students must be enrolled in the leadership studies minor, the nonprofit leadership certificate or the global food systems leadership secondary major. Ambassadors promote the school to current and prospective students at K-State campus visits, Powercat Preview Days, K-State Open House and more.
In addition to discussing how the leadership studies minor can benefit students, the Ambassadors publicize upcoming programs and special events, provide continual feedback to faculty and staff, and represent student interests and concerns.
“Being an Ambassador has provided me the opportunity to further connect with individuals at the Staley School of Leadership, creating one-of-a-kind relationships with other students, staff, and faculty,” said Nick Edwards, sophomore. “Alongside an amazing team, I’ve had the opportunity to practice leadership working to recruit prospective students to our programming, educate campus partners about leadership concepts, and coordinate events that connect with our alumni!”
Ambassadors will attend weekly meetings and participate in a variety of recruitment events throughout the year.
Applications are open until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23.
Nominate a student
Students, faculty and staff are also encouraged to nominate a student. If you know a Wildcat who is passionate about leadership development and learning, nominations are due by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23.
