Tim Hodges, Ph.D., executive director of the Clifton Strengths Institute and professor in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Business, will present 25 Years of CliftonStrengths: Lessons Learned and the Road Ahead. The presentation will take place 1-2 p.m. Friday, March 31, in the Leadership Studies Building Town Hall, room 114.
Kansas State University’s K-State Strengths, housed in the Staley School of Leadership and celebrating 10 years on campus, team welcomes all students, faculty and staff to the presentation to learn from and engage with Hodges during the presentation.
Over his 20-year career, Hodges, a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach has given hundreds of presentations, lead strengths-based research for Gallup, Inc., and has established himself as a writer through journals, chapters and research reports.
The K-State Strengths initiative, rooted in CliftonStrengths, is aimed at increasing student engagement and well-being. This unique learning opportunity is part of their continued work across campus to equip faculty, staff, and students with the tools and resources to help Wildcats develop their Top Five Strengths and thrive.
In 2022, K-State was named a Don Clifton Strengths for Students Award Winner for work across campus to enable students to learn what they naturally do best and apply their Strengths to thrive in school and all areas of their lives.
More than 2,500 students, faculty and staff have completed the Strengths assessment this year alone. Over 700 students have received individual Strengths peer coaching sessions to further their understanding of their top five Clifton Strengths themes. Students can sign-up for a peer coaching session to take a deep dive into their top five signature themes, work through an existing leadership challenge, or increase student well-being.
