Your K-State Strengths Peer Coaches

The Staley School of Leadership Studies proudly announces the 2021 K-State Strengths Peer Coaches. Strengths Peer Coaches are students who facilitate coaching sessions with Wildcats to help them dive deeper into their Top Five Clifton Strengths – an assessment all incoming students have access to upon enrolling at Kansas State University.

K-State has been a Strengths-based campus since 2012. The program compels students to focus on strengths and not weaknesses. This type of thinking can improve students’ self-awareness, lead to understanding how to work well with others and increase confidence to overcome challenges and obstacles.

Emily Wollard, a K-State 2020 graduate from the College of Education, has recently been added to the Strengths team as a graduate assistant.

“I’m so excited to work with this program to help encourage students to move from strengths identification to strengths development and help them achieve their goals,” said Wollard. “Our Peer Coaches worked with 637 students during the 2020-21 academic year, and this fall, we have the capacity to meet with around 900 students. K-State Strengths is a valuable resource for students, and I am thrilled to be working with these Peer Coaches this year.”
