Leadership Communication celebrates doctoral graduates

The Leadership Communication doctoral program at Kansas State University proudly announces its spring 2023 graduates. Aliah Mestrovich Seay, Ph.D., Jaclyn Tweeten, Ph.D., and Todd Vogts, Ph.D., have completed their doctorates in Leadership Communication, an interdisciplinary program with faculty from the Department of Communications and Agricultural Education, the Department of Communication Studies, the College of Education, the Staley School of Leadership and the A.Q. University Honors Program recognizes award recipients

The University Honors Program (UHP) at Kansas State University is pleased to announce student and faculty award winners for 2023. Honors works with many excellent students and is supported by many excellent faculty and staff each year. These awards reflect our desire to recognize some portion of those many outstanding efforts.

Wildcat Dialogues seeks volunteers for 2023 planning committee

Save the date! The fall 2023 Wildcat Dialogues will take place 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the K-State Student Union.

Wildcat Dialogues is an event for first-year students at Kansas State University. Participants come together in small groups for a facilitated discussion that focuses on curiosity, sharing personal stories, and listening to learn together as they begin their journey within our diverse campus community. Wildcat Dialogues is designed to encourage meaningful dialogue across differences to help create communities of belonging at K-State.

Students graduating this spring with academic degrees from the Staley School of Leadership (leadership studies minor, nonprofit leadership certificate or the global food systems leadership secondary major) are invited to celebrate their accomplishments with us!

Applications open for student Strengths Peer Coaches

K-State Strengths, a University-wide initiative powered by CliftonStrengths, is recruiting student Strengths Peer Coaches for fall 2023. Applications are due Friday, April 14.

K-State Strengths with 4 colored circles and A program powered by CliftonStrengthsStrengths Peer Coaches work one-on-one (both in person and via Zoom) with students to support them in the development of their Clifton Strengths towards personal and academic success. Peer Coaches help students dive deeper into their Strengths, find connections between the Strengths and everyday activities, work through challenges, and develop ways to increase their engagement and well-being.

K-State welcomes Clifton Strengths Institute partner for campus presentation

Photo of Tom HodgesTim Hodges, Ph.D., executive director of the Clifton Strengths Institute and professor in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Business, will present 25 Years of CliftonStrengths: Lessons Learned and the Road Ahead. The presentation will take place 1-2 p.m. Friday, March 31, in the Leadership Studies Building Town Hall, room 114.

Kansas State University’s K-State Strengths, housed in the Staley School of Leadership and celebrating 10 years on campus, team welcomes all students, faculty and staff to the presentation to learn from and engage with Hodges during the presentation.

Over his 20-year career, Hodges, a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach has given hundreds of presentations, lead strengths-based research for Gallup, Inc., and has established himself as a writer through journals, chapters and research reports.
