Live SecureIT a success; more training in December

Last Friday was the first offering of the live edition of “SecureIT @ Kansas State”, the K-State presentation created to fulfill the requirement that all State of Kansas employees be given cybersecurity training by June 30, 2011.

With 102 employees in attendance, the IT security team considers this first session a great success and will offer two more sessions in December.

While the majority of K-State employees are expected to take the online training that will be available at the end of the semester, these live trainings are a great alternative for employees who would like to be able to ask questions, or who don’t spend the majority of their work time behind a computer.

The two additional courses will be held Friday, Dec. 3, in the Big 12 Room of the K-State Student Union. They will be open to any K-State employee, including student employees. Seating is limited to 100 per session, so registration is highly recommended in order to secure your seat.

How to register for December training
