iSIS tip: Beyond the current week’s schedule of classes

Enrollment for Spring 2009 began Monday, Oct. 27, which is the second time that students and faculty will use the new student system, iSIS, to enroll.

K-Staters have been using iSIS for the past semester (or longer, in some cases) so they should all be experts by now, right? That might be wishful thinking-the process gets simpler with each use.  The following tip helps clear up some confusion about viewing a student’s class schedule.

When a student views their Student Center, the default view for the class schedule is “This Week’s Schedule”.  This weekly view does not display

  • Classes that have ended earlier in the term
  • Classes that start later in the term
  • Classes held after 6 p.m.

To view the entire term schedule, click the “My Class Schedule” link under the Enrollment header.  This applies to both students and faculty/staff.  For screenshots, refer to the View Your Class Schedule entry on the iSIS Help site.

Alternatively, faculty and staff with specific access can click the “academics” tab at the top of the Student Center and scroll halfway down the page to find the listing of the enrollment/drop history of a student for a specific term.  A checkmark signifies an enrolled class, and an “X” signifies a dropped class.
