K-State’s computer recommendations for students buying a computer to bring to college have recently been updated with the 2009 purchasing guidelines. Intended for freshman/sophomore levels, the recommendations cover operating systems, networking, software, environmental considerations, and more.
The updated website also:
- Encourages students to check the college and department recommendations for requirements for their field of study before making any purchase.
- Recommends that any computer brought to K-State should at least meet Second Life’s minimum system requirements.
- Includes a printer-friendly PDF of the 2009 recommendations
