Staff in the Information Technology Assistance Center were recently asked what they would advise customers to get if they could splurge on IT purchases. Suggestions were
- Extended warranty on computers — Because the extra years of full warranty coverage on Windows and Macs is well worth the cost, and saves hassles and downtime
- iPad — Who doesn’t want one?
- A Mac — It just works
- Things that make a faster computer — Memory, hard drive space, and processors
- A cloud-based storage service that’s secure, reputable, and reliable — Because easy drag-and-drop of files to/from any computer or mobile device saves a lot of time
