But Cybersecurity Awareness Month reminds everyone that there are all kinds of ways to keep your data protected. It can make a huge difference even by practicing the basics of cybersecurity.
In the coming weeks, we’ll share various tips to help you outsmart cyber threats and protect you, your family, and K-State from online attacks. We encourage you to read and share the information with your colleagues, friends, and family. When everyone takes proactive steps to secure their connected devices, personal and business accounts, and data, we all benefit from a safer and more secure digital world.

- Enabling multi-factor authentication
- Using strong passwords and a password manager
- Updating software
- Recognizing and reporting phishing
