Feb. 1: Cybersecurity Awareness training delivered to your inbox

The annual cybersecurity awareness training will be delivered to your inboxes on Wednesday, Feb. 1. All faculty, staff, and student employees must complete the online training by March 31.

This training is mandatory for all state agencies through the State of Kansas ITEC Policy 7230 – Information Technology Enterprise Security Policy section 8.0 Awareness and Training Standard.

Cybersecurity Training - Feb. 1-March 31

The training must be completed by March 31, 2023. The President’s Cabinet has authorized the suspension of eIDs that fail to complete the required training by the due date.

If your eID is suspended, you will lose access to all University systems on April 14. Once you complete the training, your access will be restored.

After you complete the training, your personnel record in HRIS will be updated. It will be listed under the Training Summary as Cybersecurity Awareness, with the course code WIT590 and course session 2023.
