Introducing Mediasite Mosaic

Use Mediasite Mosaic to create, import, and upload video content into Mediasite. Available for Windows and macOS, Mediasite Mosaic is the modern replacement for Mediasite Desktop Recorder (MDR).

Like the Mediasite Desktop Recorder software it replaces, you can use this new tool to easily record any combination of your computer’s desktop, microphone, and webcam. But Mediasite Mosaic can do more:

  • Record online and upload instantly, or record offline and upload anytime, allowing you to review each capture and upload the best “take”
  • Import and upload videos created outside of Mediasite, affording you the flexibility to use video authoring tools of your choosing
  • Upload a single video or an entire folder of videos with just a few clicks
  • Specify “watch folders” to automatically import videos as they are created, particularly helpful if you want to upload all your locally-recorded Zoom meetings to Mediasite

The Division of Information Technology is pleased to offer Mediasite Mosaic at no cost to the K-State community. To get started, view this step-by-step tutorial.

The new Mediasite Mosaic software is designed to replace the aging Mediasite Desktop Recorder software leveraged by K-State’s Mediasite users for personal capture. Importantly, the Mediasite Desktop Recorder will not be supported after the spring 2021 semester.

Mediasite is an online video capture, management, and playback system, much like YouTube but with more features, better security, with easy integration into Canvas. Mediasite enables faculty to offer digital media-enriched content to their students. For more information, visit k-state.edu/mediasite.
