Free Microsoft Office training for all K-Staters

The schedule for Microsoft Office training has been finalized for September through December. The full technology training calendar is online with more details. September and November will focus on Microsoft Access database, and October will focus on Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

Registration for all Microsoft Office sessions is free and open to all of the K-State community. You may register through the Technology Training website to reserve your seat now!

This week’s Intro to MS Access class has new time

The Introduction to Microsoft Access class is now scheduled for 8:30-10:30 a.m. this Wednesday, Aug. 18, in Fairchild 9. Bring a database project to class; one lucky winner will have their project evaluated as part of the class.

This session will give an overview of:

  • Basic database terminology and principles
  • Creating tables
  • Creating simple queries
  • Creating simple forms
  • Creating simple reports

Microsoft Word, Excel, Access training in June

Faculty/staff and students can make this summer a time to get up to speed on Microsoft Office software. No enrollment is necessary for these free sessions (although K-Staters may e-mail bcad@k-state.edu and note the session they wish to attend).

Word 2007 (word processor)

  • Wednesday, June 16, 9 a.m. in Fairchild 9A: Word 2007 Seminar (bring your questions, we’ll find the answers)
  • Thursday, June 24, 9 a.m. in Fairchild 9A: Collaborating with Word 2007
