Jason Maseberg-Tomlinson and Phyllis Epps will present “Quick Tips for Online Course Accessibility” 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, in Union 212. The online classroom is becoming more and more popular among faculty and students. It shapes the experiences of distance students and it enhances the resources of on-campus courses. Accessibility needs to be considered during the creation of new coursework. Online accessibility is just as important as campus accessibility for students with disabilities.
Jason Maseberg-Tomlinson, Disability Support Services, will walk through each Quick Tip and answer questions. Phyllis Epps will cover the Media Development Center and software available to help faculty and staff create accessible content. Others from the campus community will be available to offer support and answer questions.
Registration and refreshments start at 10:45 a.m. RSVP by contacting the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, 785-532-7828, catl@k-state.edu. Coffee, tea, and water will be available, and you are welcome to bring your lunch.
