Still time to attend K-State Online pre-release training this week

Pre-release training for K-State Online 9.0 will continue Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18. If you would like to get hands-on time with the new features in a lab setting and give feedback on the new features before they become available mid-July, pre-register to attend either the Wednesday or Thursday session.

Both sessions are in the Hemisphere Room (501) in Hale Library, Manhattan campus.
Wednesday, June 17, 1:30 – 3 p.m.
Thursday, June 18, 9 – 10:30 a.m.

The training sessions are identical and will include:

  • New Manage Files tool, now called Course Content. This tool has been completely overhauled and is now more streamlined, easier to use, and no longer opens in a separate window.
  • Assignment exceptions. Instead of going to as many as three different pages to grant an exception or an extension for an assignment, you’ll now be able to go to one location, making it easier for you to perform these tasks.

Pre-registration is required, and be sure to select the date and time desired. Once a class is full, others can still attend but may not have a laptop available to use. Those attending the faculty and staff sessions should have prior experience as an instructor in K-State Online.

Training sessions will be repeated after the release of the new K-State Online version. More details will be announced near the end of June regarding future training sessions. You can read about all the updates in the What’s New in K-State Online 9.0.
