“Keep your hard drive” option recommended when purchasing Dell computers

The thought of any type of data being exploited is always a concern for many. Dell offers the option to keep your hard drive if it has failed or is in the process of failing. It is highly recommended to purchase this service because, typically, customers are required to return a hard drive under warranty when a replacement is received.

This “keep your hard drive” service allows you to:

  • Have complete control of the hard drive
  • Not risk the chance of exposing sensitive or confidential data
  • Properly dispose of the drive

The service also covers multiple failures and multiple drives in a desktop or laptop computer.

The “keep your hard drive” option is available when purchasing a new computer or anytime before the computer experiences a hard drive failure, while the system is under a limited warranty.
