Reminder: Cybersecurity Awareness Training needs to be completed by Dec. 31 

The 2021 Cybersecurity Awareness training must be completed by Dec. 31 to comply with State Policy 7230 – Information Technology Enterprise Security Policy, section 8.0 Awareness and Training Standard.

The President’s Cabinet has authorized the suspension of eID’s that fail to meet the required training after the due date. If your eID is suspended, you will lose access to all University systems until training is completed.

Dec. 31 DeadlineOn Nov. 16, a reminder was sent to all K-State employees (faculty, staff, and students) (who haven’t completed the training. Currently, 3,250 employees out of 11,343 have completed the training.

  1. Visit K-State’s Cybersecurity Awareness training webpage: https://www.k-state.edu/it/security/cybersecurity-awareness/index.html.
  2. In the upper-right-hand corner of the web page, click the Access the Cybersecurity Awareness Training button.

Record of training completion

Employees who have completed the training have this recorded in their HRIS training summary under the course WIT590, session 2021.
