Jan. 31: Cybersecurity Awareness training completion deadline

The deadline to complete Cybersecurity Awareness training is Jan. 31. All faculty, staff, and student employees are required to complete the training or lose eID access. If your eID is suspended, you will lose access to all University systems until training is completed.

If you have student employees who are no longer employed, be sure to terminate them in HRIS to prevent their access from being removed in case they are still active students.

This training is required to comply with State Policy 7230 – Information Technology Enterprise Security Policy, section 8.0 Awareness, and Training Standard.

Deadline Jan. 31

Access the training

  1. Visit K-State’s Cybersecurity Awareness training webpage: https://www.k-state.edu/it/security/cybersecurity-awareness/index.html.
  2. In the upper-right-hand corner of the web page, click the Access the Cybersecurity Awareness Training button.

Record of training completion

Employees who have completed the training have this recorded in their HRIS training summary under the course WIT590, session 2021.
