An introductory training for Microsoft Visio Professional is scheduled 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, July 29, on Zoom. (Session is not live until the scheduled time.)
About Microsoft Visio Professional
Microsoft Visio Pro is a common diagramming tool that enables the creation of vector graphics.
Some common examples include the following:
- Flowcharts to describe work or research processes
- Basic diagrams
- BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) diagrams (with built-in validation based on rule sets)
- Database systems
- Floor plans
- Network designs
- Data-created visuals (with uploaded Excel spreadsheets used in Visio templates from MS Visio Online and/or the Excel backstage)
- Automapping of websites to three levels
- And more
The visuals may be created manually and/or with data and/or through autocoding.
This software tool contains a variety of templates for various applications: network, software, flowcharts, education, business, database, floor plans, and others. Users may access collections of stencils, shapes, line tools, design themes, and layout grids.
There are higher-level functions in the Developer tabs, database integrations, auto-layout features, auto-mapping networks functionalities, and macro capabilities.
This session addresses how to get started with Visio Pro to communicate visually and with precision.
